It is not just a simple Q&A site; there will be a wiki feature, that is, users can edit threads/questions started by others. The comments/replies on the thread are editable too. The site will maintain a history of the edits like a normal wiki.
As the site is not hosted yet, I can't give a link to it right now. Expect it to be online soon.
The following features will be available in the beta version:
- Start new threads/Ask new questions.
- Comment on/reply to a thread/question.
- Upvoting/downvoting on threads/questions as well as comments/replies.
- Threaded as well as linear discussions.
- Tagging of threads.
- Sections that will provide grouping of threads.
- Wiki feature on threads as well as comments. Each edit will be stored as a separate version and there will an option to revert to previous versions.
- Moderation tools for users.
You may notice that it's kind of similar to Stackoverflow. Though it's similar to Stackoverflow, and indeed is inspired by that site, our idea is to make it more Reddit like. Specifically, we want threaded discussions, which is absent in Stackoverflow.
We also aim to create a product that can be used by anybody or any company that wants to set up a knowledge exchange platform at their premises. This will have LDAP/Active Directory integration so that separate user management won't be necessary.
